Exploring Portugal with a 4x4

Casa Agradavel Bed & Breakfast is gesitueerd nabij het geografisch middenpunt van Portugal.

Vanaf de Franse grens volgt u: San Sebastian - Bilbao - Burgos - Salamanca - Vilar Formosa - Guarda - (A23) Covilhã - Castelo Branco tot afslag Tomar. Vandaar volgt u Junceira - Olalhas. Zie voor Franse toltarieven en route-informatie de website van de ASFA (in Frans en Engels)

Vanaf Lissabon: A1 - A23 Torres Novas - IC3 Tomar. Vanaf Porto: A1 - bij Condeixa IC3 Tomar.

PER VLIEGTUIG: Via Lissabon of Porto, met de trein naar Tomar (bijna elk uur een rechtstreekse verbinding van ongeveer 2 uur)

PER TREIN: Via Parijs en Irun bent u in ongeveer 24 uur in Lissabon (dagelijks) of Coimbra (maandag-donderdag, zondag). Vandaar rechtstreekse verbindingen naar Tomar.

PER BUS: Op dinsdag donderdag, vrijdag en zaterdag rechtstreeks busverbindingen met Eurolines naar diverse bestemmingen (o.a. Tomar). Zie verder Eurolines.nl of

Casa Agradavel is een huis aan Vale da Pereiro te Alqueidão. Casa betekent huis in het Portugees en Agradavel betekent knus/gezellig. In Casa Agradavel is het altijd gezellig en is er tijd voor bezinning en rust, maar gelijktijdig voor muziek, zon en 4x4 plezier. Kleinschalig en back to basics is het idee, maar dan wel met comfort.

Alqueidão - Olalhas - Portugal

Het Bed & Breakfast 'appartement' bestaat uit een living, een tweepersoonsslaapkamer en badkamer met toilet. De totale oppervlakte is 28 vierkante meter. Het appartement bevindt zich op de bovenverdieping van onze (opname) studio, en staat geheel los van het huis en heeft een eigen ingang. Vanuit het appartement en vanaf het terras hebt u een fantastisch vrij uitzicht over de Vale da Pereiro (de vallei van de perenbomen).

Vanuit Casa Agradavel kunt u wandelingen maken in de vrije natuur, zelfs het strand van de Rio do Zezere is te voet bereikbaar, maar trek daar wel een half uurtje voor uit. Met de auto bent u binnen een paar minuten bij verschillende strandjes, omzoomd door schitterende rotspartijen, een weelderige fauna en inspirerende off-road paden.

Casa Agradavel : de perfecte combinatie van eenvoud en luxe. Het appartement is sfeervol ingericht en uw off-road plezier kan beginnen bij de voordeur. U kunt desgewenst gebruik maken van een computer met internetverbinding.

We are located close to the geographic heart of Portugal. The new roads (constructed with help from the E.U.) make traveling thru the country very easy. From the French border you just folow: San Sebastian - Bilbao - Burgos - Salamanca - Vilar Formosa - Guarda - (A23) Covilhã - Castelo Branco until the exit Tomar (IC3). On this road follow the signs Junceira, Olalhas.

If you are coming from Lisboa: A1 - A23 Torres Novas - IC3 Tomar.
From Porto: A1 - at Condeixa IC3 Tomar. Look for French Peage and route-information at the website of ASFA (in French and English)

BY TRAIN: By means of Paris and Irun are you in approximately 24 hours in Lisbon (daily) or Coimbra (Monday Thursday, Sunday). From there several direct connections to Tomar.

BY BUS: On Tuesday Thursday, Friday and Saturday direct bus
connections from Rotterdam with Eurolines to several destinations (among other things Tomar). See further Eurolines.nl or inform at your travel office.

BY PLANE: By means of Lisbon or porto, with the train to Tomar (almost each hour a direct connection of approximately 2 hours)

Casa Agradavel is a house at Vale da Pereiro in Alqueidâo, Portugal. Casa means house in Portuguese and Agradavel means cosy/sociably.

At Casa Agradavel it's always sociable and you'll find time for reflaxion and rest, but simultaneously for music, art, sun and pleasure. Small-scale and back to basics is the idea, but or with modern comfort. The apartment is on the topfloor of our (recording) studio, and stands apart from the house and has its own entrance. From the apartment and from the terrace you have a fantastic free view over Vale da Pereiro (the valley of the pear trees).

Alqueidão - Olalhas - Portugal

From Casa Agradavel you can make walks in free nature, even Rio do Zezere is at walking distance but with a 4x4 you are within a couple minutes from several beaches at the lake, surrounded by superb rock parties, sumptuous fauna and great offroadtracks to have fun.

It's not a secret, we are enthusiasts of Fiat Panda 4x4. The car is very popular in its home country but also popular in Portugal where the terrain requires a robust and tough car that can be repared by the local garage without any special equipment.
